|Rosemary Loaf Recipe|
A very easy Rosemary Loaf recipe, continue reading to learn how.
- 1 Cup Warm Water
- 1/3 Cups White Granulated Sugar
- 2 1/4 Teaspoon Active Dry Yeast
- 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil + Extra for coating
- 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tablespoon Dried or Fresh Rosemary
- Drop of Honey Mixed with Teaspoon of Water
Preheat oven to 300°. In your mixing bowl dissolve sugar and yeast in the warm water, make sure it's not hot because it will kill the yeast, let it sit for 15 minutes until yeast is activated and it looks foamy. Next add in salt and the 2 tablespoons oil. Now, one cup at a time, slowly add in the flour and mix with a spoon until you need to use your hands, you will most likely not need all three cups, it will eventually stop taking in flour, knead until smooth and elastically, about five to eight minutes. In a clean bowl, add a teaspoon of oil and roll your dough in it until the outside is completely coated. Cover with saran wrap and a towel and let rise for one hour near the stove. After the hour, uncover dough and punch it down, knead for a few seconds. Turn the oven up to 350° and place the dough in a lightly oiled bread pan and let rise again for 20 minutes. While it's rising, stir together the rosemary and water/honey mix. After it's done rising, use your hands to gently spread the rosemary mix all over the top of the dough and place it in oven and bake for 15-25 minutes. Stick a knife in the center, if it comes out clean, it's done! Eat with soup, toasted, or as a sandwich.
